kelley_offset_bootAt a recent weekend cutting clinic taught by Michael Cooper, Bucyrus, KS and sponsored by Purina, our offset stirrups were in high demand!  As the participants worked on the cutting basics, from dry working their horse to improving their herd work, many of them found that the offset stirrups assisted them in keeping their feet in the correct position during those hard stops and turns.  The Offset stirrups encourage a natural dropping of the heel, which in turn helps you sit deeper in your stops.

We had a great time at the clinic catching up with old friends and making many new ones.   It was great seeing the participant's progress from learning the very basics of cutting, like dry working their horse, to picking and remembering their own cattle, and finally to a judged cutting where the cutter's had to not only show their horse, but also had to help each other pick cows and hold herd.  Michael did an awesome job coaching and everyone we talked to gained a lot of confidence in their riding ability.  It was a great opportunity for us to encourage some new and seasoned cutter's to try our Offset's to see how they liked them.  Here's what one of our new friends had to say about our Offset Stirrups;  Kelly Boyle states - "my old ones were offset, but nothing like these, these feel much nicer. "  Kelley is sporting her new Don Orrell Offset stirrups in the attached photo.  More photos from the event are available at our Facebook page at:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Don-Orrell-Stirrups/133641763332950
